Dibutrix

Description

Dibutrix is an biodegradable and highly porous dressing for accelerated wound healing. It is made up of a network of micropores and microchannels, and creates a microskeleton for migrating ceels to adhere to, accelerating the process of epidermis reconstruction and wound healing.

Contraindications

Dibutrix Active is contraindicated for infected wounds, wounds with heavy exudate, tunneling wounds, and fistulas. For full-thickness wounds, use only under medical supervision. Do not use in known cases of hypersensitivty of allergy to dibutyryl chittin (DBC).

Effects

Dibutrix Active provides an optimal moist environment within the wound and protects the wond from drying out excessively. The porous nature of the dressing allows for the appropriate gaseous exchange, while allowing excess secretion from the wound to be discharged. The absence of the need to remove the dressing prevents newly laid down cells from being traumatized as the dibutyryl chitin (DBC) biopolymer accelerates the process of granulation and epithelialization.
